Curriculum Coordinator
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Curriculum Coordinator to join a leading international school. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting curriculum planning, instructional excellence, and academic improvement across the school. This position is ideal for an educational leader with a strong understanding of the American curriculum and a passion for driving high-quality teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous review of the American curriculum across assigned grade levels.
• Collaborate with school leadership and teaching staff to ensure curriculum alignment with educational standards and best practices.
• Support teachers through instructional coaching, mentoring, classroom observations, and professional feedback.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve student achievement and academic outcomes.
• Coordinate curriculum mapping, assessment planning, and instructional resources.
• Monitor teaching quality and ensure consistent delivery of curriculum objectives.
• Analyse student performance data to identify trends and recommend targeted interventions.
• Plan and facilitate professional development sessions for teaching staff.
• Promote innovative teaching methodologies and the effective integration of educational technology.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, school policies, and curriculum requirements.
• Work closely with department heads and school leaders to achieve strategic academic goals.
• Foster a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement and educational excellence.
• Support school improvement initiatives, curriculum reviews, and accreditation processes.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in curriculum coordination, instructional leadership, or academic management within an international school following the American curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development, assessment frameworks, and instructional best practices.
• Demonstrated experience coaching teachers and improving classroom performance.
• Experience with curriculum mapping, educational planning, and student performance analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to lead collaborative teams and manage multiple academic initiatives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and educational management systems.
Preferred Candidate Profile
• English Speaking
• Experience supporting school accreditation processes (e.g., Cognia, NEASC, or similar) is an advantage.
• Passionate about educational innovation, continuous improvement, and student success.
